Day 1 : Arrival to Lagos

  • Welcome to Lagos, Nigeria! Home to one-fifth of the African continents' inhabitants, we are set to gain a wealth of cultural insight during our stay.  We are checking in to a stylish and contemporary apartment in the heart of Lagos where we will be met by a member of our partner tour company, Naija Nomads - Nigeria's most comprehensive travel agency. After check-in and introductions, we will enjoy a gorgeous dinner curated by our private chef!

Day 2 : Moist / Landmark Beaches

A chilled and restful start to the morning, our private chef is on hand to whip up a delicious energy-infused breakfast - yum.

We will make our way to Moist or Landmark beaches in the prestigious Victora Island, Lagos for a half day of buffet lunch, revelries and beach activities in the sun. Don't forget the sunscreen!

In the evening we will enjoy dinner at the apartments and perhaps seek out the infamous Lagosian night-life (additional charge)

Day 3 : *Jay Bee Beach Camp and Tarkwa Bay

Today we are heading to the picturesque beach camp of Jaybee in Tarkwa Bay! Tarkwa Bay is a mere 15 minutes from Lagos mainland however, it boasts an impressive watersports selection and golden sands. The Jay Bee Beach Camp is a little oasis on the coast of Lagos and we will enjoy a sumptuous BBQ lunch whilst whiling away the afternoon on the premises. Availability permitting, we will spend the night in the beautiful Jay Bee beach cabins nestled along the shores of Tarwa Bay.

*Due to high seasonal demand, Jay Bee Beach Camp may be unavailable during the time of final booking; alternative locations are La Campagne Tropicana" or "Lakowe Lakes and Golf Estate"

Day 4 : Free Day

We're heading back to Lagos folks. Explore at your leisure because today is a free day. There is plenty to see and do during the festive season of December - fashion pop-ups, concerts, food stalls and markets are all good ways to migle and meet Lagosians.

Day 5 : The Badagry Slave Route Tour

After a hearty breakfast prepared fresh by our private chef, we will embark on the Badagry Slave Route Toure. The tour is understandably emotive but a good opportunity to delve into the colonial history that scarred Nigeria and appreciate how far the country has come to restore its legacy. After visiting the 'point of no return', we will stop for a late lunch at a local restaurant before travelling back to Lagos.

Day 6 : Kaldi Coffee Factory Tour and In-depth Lagos Tour

Calling all coffee lovers! We are taking a day trip to the Kaldi Coffee Factory for a coffee factory tour. Kaldi is one of the premium roasters in Lagos and they sustainably source coffee beans from Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and Cameroon to sell to the thriving African market. Following the coffee factory tour, we are invited to partake in a Coffee Cupping ceremony and the Ethiopian Injera will be served as lunch. The other planned activities for the day include visiting the Tejuosho market for Ankara (African print textiles and art), the national theatre and the railway museum.

Day 7 : Free Day

Explore the sights, tastes and sounds of Lagos at your own speed.

In the evening, we will head out to experience the famed Lagosian nightlife with bar/club entry and complimentary drink - hope you've been practising your Zanku and Shoki dance moves for the themed Luxe On A Budget party!

Day 8 : Epe Mangroves and  Lekki Conservation Centre

We'll set off for a canoeing expedition of the Epe Mangroves early in the morning post-breakfast. This hidden local natural gem is home to several species of fish, crocodiles and alligators. We will finish off our tour with lunch at a local restaurant to fuel up before commencing on the rest of our tour itinerary that includes visiting Lekki Conservation Centre, Nike Art Gallery, Lekki Arts and Crafts market.

The options are endless for our penultimate evening in Lagos, Nigeria. Bar hopping, dinner at a plush local restaurant or even a cosy night spent saying farewells...
