Day 1 : Kigali - Nyungwe Forest National Park And Canopy walkway

Welcome!

We've got an early morning pick up from the airport (flights landing BEFORE 7am) or from your pre-tour hotel in Kigali and we will be transferred to Nyungwe forest. On the way visit Nyanza King’s Palace, the National Museum of Butare and Nyanza; this was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with traditional mats and utensils. From here, we will drive to Nyungwe National park at Uwinka reception centre to experience the famed Canopy walk-way. Dinner and overnight stay at the beautiful Nyungwe Top View lodge.
Day 2 : Chimpanzee trekking and transfer to Karongi City

Wake up early in the morning and have a cup of tea before being briefed by well-trained guides. After a short brief, we will go for an adventurous Chimpanzee Trek in the Forest of Nyungwe National Park. While trekking the apes, we may encounter other primates like the Columbus monkeys and others so make sure to have your cameras and mobile phones fully charged! We will return to the lodge for lunch and from there, drive to Karongi for an overnight stay and dinner at Delta hotel.

Day 3 : Kivu Beach and Transfer to Musanze
After breakfast at our gorgeous hotel, we will walk down to Kivu Beach and spend the morning languishing. If you are an avid birdwatcher, this is a great place to feast your eyes on some rare species. The birds are located in Napoleon island, inside of Lake Kivu. After a few hours, we will take a scenic boat ride back to the hotel for free time on Lake Kivu and have a lovely local lunch. Following lunch, we will explore Kibuye city on a short city tour and then back to the Five Volcanoes hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4 : Bisoke Volcano Hiking and transfer to Kigali
After breakfast, trek the mountains for another unforgettable experience hiking up the Bisoke volcano. It's back to our hotel for lunch and we will then proceed to Kigali, Rwanda's capital city for dinner, networking with Kigali's expat community at Inema Art Gallery and the themed Luxe On A Budget Party. We will overnight at the Orient Park hotel in Kigali.

Day 5 : Kigali city tour and transfer to Akagera National Park
Rise and shine!
The Kigali city tour includes:
• Visiting the 1994 Gisozi Genocide Memorial site.
• Visit an artisan shopping centre to view and purchase local arts and crafts.
• A tour around the city and see first hand, the post-genocide development and expansion of Kigali.
From here, we will be transferred to Akagera National Park where we will enjoy an afternoon boat ride on Lake Ihema. There are wild hippos, crocodiles and other beautiful scenery for our viewing pleasure. After, we will drive to our lodge for the night where we will have dinner and settle down for an overnight stay at Akagera Game lodge.

Day 6 : Full Game Drive and transfer to Kigali
Today is a busy day, in the morning we shall have another day of adventure within Akagera National Park, enjoying the beautiful landscape of Rwanda’s hilly terrain - comprised of a blend of wetland, savannah and woodland, The natural forests also make quite a view.
